SP takes sides with Ramdev to ‘fight corruption’
Yoga guru Swami Ramdev has now a supporter in Samajwadi Party with the party expressing desire to stand by him in his “fight against corruption”.
“Samajwadi Party will support those who fight against corruption, including Swami Ramdev,” SP general secretary Shivpal Yadav told reporters in Sisauli near here on Saturday.
Hinting at a pre-poll alliance ahead of the UP Assembly elections in 2012, Yadav said, “The party would ally with secular parties. The decision on this will be taken by the high command at a proper time.”
