Pay Scale for Nurses in Government Hospitals


The pay scale fixed for nurses in government hospitals is Rs. 9300-34800 apart from a grade pay of Rs. 4600 and so the nurses can receive total emoluments of around Rs. 30000 from government hospitals.

Recent notifications for the post of Nurses in Government organizations:

Recently, Indian Army called for applications from eligible candidates for the post of Nursing SSC Officers, Government medical college and hospital also called for applications from nursing graduates for the post of staff nurse and nursing sisters.

Nursing Courses in India:

To get a job in nursing field in Government hospitals, candidates must have completed their nursing course. The major courses in nursing are Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which includes sub branches like military nursing, hospital nursing and general nursing and midwifery. The postgraduate course in this field is Master of Science in Nursing, which includes health worker and auxiliary nurse midwife.

Whenever any government organizations call for nurses, the minimum age requirement fixed is 21 years and the candidates should be less than 35 years of age.
