The team of politicians, the police arrested her Friday, sources said.

“It’s just a formal arrest. She would be taken to the MP after the transportation arrangements, “Pragya attorney lawyer Ganesh Sovani told PTI.

Joshi was shot and killed in Dewa in Madhya Pradesh in December 29.2007.

Sixty-eight people were killed when bombs went off in two coaches of Samjhauta Express running between Delhi and Lahore, around midnight on 18 February 2007 at Diwan near Panipat, 80km north of Delhi.

Pragya, an alleged member of the rightwing Hindu group Abhinav Bharat, has already moved Supreme Court challenging her prosecution under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in Malegaon blast case.

Bombay High Court had earlier proposed special court to overrule the application of MCOCA against her in the blast case, after which she filed the complaint in the lead law.

Six people were killed and many wounded in the bomb in the communal sensitive town of Malegaon in Nashik district, 29 September 2008.
