Other stores followed shortly in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.2009 will see Marks & Spencer expand further with the opening of new stores in Al Ain, Dubai Mall, Kuwait and Qatar. All stores are large format and carry a wide range of product including Ladieswear, Menswear, Kidswear, Lingerie, Beauty, Home and Food.We are seeking a Department Manager for our Marks & Spencer store in Abu Dhabi. As a department manager for this reputable company you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring the department provides a pleasant shopping experience for customers
* Setting up, monitoring and reviewing sales targets for the relevant commercial department
* Ensuring that department and store objectives are achieved
* Managing and developing staff within the department in order to achieve departmental and personal goals
* Ensuring the department and staff abide by the workplace health and safety and company policies guidelines
* Conducting regular surveys on competitors by visiting the competitor's outlets
* Reviewing and controlling the costs, in order to maximise profitability
* Planing and implementing product/range launches to maximise the use of store footage.
You will require to work at least 48 hours per week. Your work schedule will vary each week, which includes working a? late evening/ night's shifts, weekends and holidays.
